Site Selection
Which site you select depends on whether you are camping in a tent, an RV, or a cabin. Most campgrounds have separate areas for tents, RVs and cabins. You must decide if you are comfortable camping with no amenities in a primitive site or if you want a site with partial or full amenities. Primitive sites may be little more than a patch of land where you can pitch your tent and bathroom facilities may not be available. Partial and full amenity sites normally include a picnic table and a grill or fire pit as well as shared bathroom facilities. For your first camping experience, you might want to select a site that has more amenities than you think you need to ensure your comfort and enjoyment.
