Help/FAQ
- What types of campgrounds are available?
- Campgrounds can be either public or private. Public campgrounds include those within county and state parks and they normally do not have age restrictions. Some public campgrounds offer only primitive camping while others offer full amenities and even cabins you can rent. Private campgrounds vary greatly in size and amenities and some have age restrictions. If you are camping with children, make sure to check any age restrictions before planning your camping trip.
- What type of campground would be best for a first camping trip?
- For first time campers, it is probably best to not go too far from home and try to find a campground that has full amenities (water, electricity, and bathroom) to ensure that you are as comfortable as possible. As you gain experience, you may want to try more primitive camping.
