- This means a campsite has water, electric, sewer, cable and/or satellite and Internethookups available.
- KOA
- This stands for Kampgrounds of America. It is a large chain of campgrounds with locations throughout the US and Canada.

- Same as partial hookups.

- Partial hookups
- This generally means a campsite has only water and electric hookups available (no sewer hookups).
- Primitive site
- This means the site has no amentities although the campground that the site is in may.have facilities.

- Primitive camping
- This means camping without being in a prepared campground and with no amenities (no bathroom, water, or electric). For more information on primitive camping try Camping Earth or Boondocking

- This stands for recreational vehicle and includes both drivable and towable units.
